A typical application for the sandwichliner is boxes for tomato' s. 
Imagine a stack of 30 tomatotrays in a freezing cell. When packed in standard corrugated cartonboxes, the trays would absorb the moisture from the tomato's. The carton get soaked, and the boxes will fall over the place. This is where you want a proper moisture barrier and a wetstrength solution.
